Dear Jason,
When I’m finished housecleaning, I intend to write you. There are a couple of things I think we should get clear before we set off on this journey together.
1. I know it’s been an exceptionally long period of time since we’ve worked together. Your patience is appreciated as we work out the minor kinks and details.
2. No matter what happens you cannot under any circumstances...

Things you don't think about until you live with...
D: Are you *sniffing* laundry?
Me: Well, yeah...how do *you* tell if it's clean?
D: I remember what I wore and what I didn't?
Me: Obviously your memory is far superior to mine.
D: You write long fiction--how is that possible?
Me: It just is--trust me. Ask me what Tim Drake was wearing 100,000 words ago and I could tell you thread for thread. Ask me what I wore yesterday and I'd have to say 'clothes'.
D: Simply amazing.
galaxiescrossed asked: Hello! Hope you and D are doing well ;3 I don't know if anyone has asked this but hopefully it's not taboo! I understand you are a staunch DC fan, but what are your feelings about Marvel? More importantly, if you are familiar with Marvel, do you like Billy and Teddy from YA?

[[MORE]]hey alan, i was wondering if you could help me out. see S and i have been like sisters since we were little. and nowadays… we tend to fuck, like. a lot. but she’s got a serious boyfriend. i’m kind of ok with hooking up cause i think we can sort of handle not necessarily being romantic, but still being sexual and close friends. i mean, i date around, too. but. i...
anobesecaterpillar asked: Just out of curiosity, but have you ever read Thomas Mann's "Death in Venice"? It's a novella about this German writer who goes to Italy and falls in love with a fourteen-year-old Polish boy. I thought you would find it interesting since it deals with pedophilia and homosexuality in the early twentieth century. Or at least that's my understanding of it. I haven't...
Anonymous asked: Have you ever thought of writing for comics? I would buy them all if I knew you were writing them. Do you have an agent? You need one. Like yesterday.
dragonfairies asked: I didn't cry while reading 'Rainfall', but then I had to go and listen 'Into the West' because it's been a while. The waterworks started. Brava you have thoroughly changed that song for me. That was a wonderfully heart wrenching piece.
Anonymous asked: Okay. That was amazing. I can't contain the tears. You can have them. Take them all. Can we have something happy now? Not to criticise your work or anything, but what about more poker? Or a piknic? Or a party? Please?
Anonymous asked: AND LO! When he wrote the words that made fangirls weep, the flood of feels lasted for 40 days and 40 knights...I can't even...I just can't. If you post more like "Rainfall", the world might just end...
kiwi-pie asked: Wow I am like honestly in tears about that last fic- that was just really heart-wrenching, I'm not sure I've ever read a fic about Kon's death that's gotten to me quite like yours just did. My stomach just dropped at those last few lines. I feel so bad for poor Tim, I don't even know what to do with myself. Thanks for sharing, even if you did make me cry. <3
Anonymous asked: You have a brilliant command over words, Mr. Black. I'm writing this through tears. That's not easy to do. Make me cry, I mean. God why don't you write more stories that are this emotional...?
Anonymous asked: Are you still taking commissions? Would you consider writing Supernatural fiction? You mentioned it earlier...I'm just curious...
thecommonloon asked: Wait Dean jerking off in his car, as in SUPERNATURAL Dean? Or some obscure comics character of whom I know not? because Mr B, if you write SPN porn, I am doomed.

Shadows (Preview)
Rainfall has spawned an entire fic in four or five parts, most of which I’ve managed to rough out already. I haven’t had something bite me this hard in awhile. I’ll post it in its entirety when it’s complete. For now, here’s a preview of the second part.

Is there anything sadder than Superman/Batman #26?
Yes. Yes, there is. There’s reading Superman/Batman #26 and listening to this damn Annie Lennox song on repeat.
Happiness will happen when I bring the boy back from the dead.
…just after Clark has an emotional moment with Bruce about losing a son.
I’m going to have to post this in its entirety instead of chapter by chapter. I think it’s the only humane thing to do...

So Daddy got me a 'sitter'.
It’s not as kinky as it seems. As a matter of fact, it’s not kinky at all. I think he just liked the way it sounded.
[[MORE]]D’s working late tonight. I came home to a thermos full of hot tea and a freezer packed with ‘those little pizzas I like to burn’. Which was both embarrassing and endearing.
So we said our farewells and he went off to work. I fired up my...

Fic: Rainfall (Tim + Kon)
Whenever I’m in a funk, I turn to Pandora radio and flip to one of my stations. Eventually, something always comes on to inspire me that allows me to work through truly persistent writer’s block. This time it was ‘Into the West’ by Annie Lennox.
It’s totally cool. Just rip my heart out. Wasn’t using it, anyway.
I am fully aware that this is sad, slightly dramatic and a little over the top,...
