“Grayson,” Damian said as he unclasped the cape at his throat and arranged it carefully on the shelf near another meticulously folded Robin costume. “Why don’t we have a store?”
“You only smoke when father’s home,” Damian said from the catwalk above him.
I hope they pay Alfred really well. He deserves a generous paycheck.

There’s a lot of people thinking this whole DC thing is a REBOOT. Changing costumes, and motives [read: WonderGirl as a thief…?] do not a retcon make, right? Sure, Red Robin looks a bit like a Vegas strip act [oh, bay-bee], but he’s still going to be Tim Drake, right? Ambiguously involved with Conner? Awkward around women? Great kisser, but married to his work? [I’m not getting wound up by the lateset issue of his book. Really, I’m not. On the outside, anyway.]
And yeah, Dick and Damian [and the fingerstripes! good gods! The FINGERSTRIPES!!] are no more, but he’ll still be Dick Grasyon, right? Right DC?
I guess my only worry is how far are they going to go? Are they going to make Tim a womanizer? Do they plan on gunking up Damian’s carefully crafted nuances by pairing him with his father? Will Dick become…emo…?
And thinking about it…will there be alternate sexualities/genders revealed? You want to relaunch for a more “modern” world, right?

Holy shit, this is awesome. I’ve been talking with this artist for weeks and she’s been cool enough to do some title pictures for me (and I’ve been slipping a little bit of fan service in my fics *coughDamian/Timcough*). But I didn’t expect this.
…but I did commission something big from her dealing with Earth 81 and the children.
We’re doing it for the children. :D

Lately, I’ve been so lucky as to have been commissioned for three sketches by Alan Black (at http://wayne0manor.livejournal.com/ or http://wayne-manor.tumblr.com/). To my utter delight, the sketches were all Batfamily-centric, and Alan is an amazing person to work for/talk to. He gave me a very specific theme and pairings to work with, and then allowed me
to get as detail-crazy as I wantedallowed me total creative freedom. ♥♥♥♥I loved working on these; it was such a nice experience, AND I feel lucky I got the chance to work with characters I love… and pairings I was unfamiliar with. ♥ X3 Again, I want to stress how utterly lovely the whole experience was. :D

I really enjoy the tone you’re taking with this. I can see it, feel it; there’s tension, but it’s not so thick I’m forced to swallow it.
I would love to see where this goes. Where they go on their little date. They’re so wonderfully in character I’d like to read your interpretation of them taking it that next step.
