It’s really just a reLAUNCH, right?

There’s a lot of people thinking this whole DC thing is a REBOOT. Changing costumes, and motives [read: WonderGirl as a thief…?] do not a retcon make, right? Sure, Red Robin looks a bit like a Vegas strip act [oh, bay-bee], but he’s still going to be Tim Drake, right? Ambiguously involved with Conner? Awkward around women? Great kisser, but married to his work? [I’m not getting wound up by the lateset issue of his book. Really, I’m not. On the outside, anyway.]

And yeah, Dick and Damian [and the fingerstripes! good gods! The FINGERSTRIPES!!] are no more, but he’ll still be Dick Grasyon, right? Right DC?

I guess my only worry is how far are they going to go? Are they going to make Tim a womanizer? Do they plan on gunking up Damian’s carefully crafted nuances by pairing him with his father? Will Dick become…emo…?

And thinking about it…will there be alternate sexualities/genders revealed? You want to relaunch for a more “modern” world, right?

What DID Lex Luthor do?

So we all remember that Lex Luthor is a cake stealing sociopath, right? Even though DC retconned virtually everything out of existence, they thought bringing this back was the right idea. Because obviously that incident just proved that he was capable of world domination. It’s such a trigger. Kids these days…

And then I found myself having an awesome conversation with Neko the other night and we both had the same idea at the same time. (It may have helped that I had Superboy: The Boy of Steel on top of the pile that needs refiling.) This shit is hilarious.

Fic: Research and Development

Yawning widely into his palm, Damian rested his chin in his hand, leaning heavily against the arm of the couch, his legs stretched along the length of it. The heat wave had started to affect even him, despite his upbringing in perpetually warmer climates, leaving him lethargic and unmotivated. His only defense was a cold glass of water sweating on the table beside him and a thin pair of black and yellow training shorts.

You can thank this artist for all of the romantic Tim/Kon moments in the last chapter. She is gracious enough to draw me title pictures ~~and sometimes porn~~. It’s the least I can do.

Also, I’m hoping (if she sees this) she’ll draw my caricature so I’m more than just my icon on a cute body. (Thanks, Boa *wink*)

“Oh, good, Sir. You’re awake,” Alfred greeted Bruce as he shuffled into the kitchen. A simple black bathrobe hung open on his shoulders over a pair of loose grey pants. His dark hair was unkempt and disheveled. He yawned widely.

“I wasn’t certain when I should wake you as you came in rather early this morning,” his butler admitted. “It’s only noon, Sir. Perhaps you could do with a bit more sleep?”

Wow this latest chapter has just left me absolutely speechless and breathless. I can’t imagine it being written any other way. I loved the way you went between the past and present, tying what could almost be two different stories together in one. The different interactions between all the characters was just perfection. Your descriptions and the way you presented their emotions were just so prominent that I almost felt like a spectator to events being played out in front of me, rather then reading from a computer screen. Each installment just keeps getting better and better leaving me almost physically craving more. What you’re building here is so amazing, it’s like picking up a good book that you never want to put down and you just lose yourself in it, disregarding any reality other then this. I just want to thank you so much for putting the time and effort into it that you do. It’s appreciated and I continue to look forward to more!

I really just want to tell good stories; I can’t stress enough how much I enjoy having readers who like and appreciate them.

Lately, I’ve been so lucky as to have been commissioned for three sketches by Alan Black (at http://wayne0manor.livejournal.com/ or http://wayne-manor.tumblr.com/). To my utter delight, the sketches were all Batfamily-centric, and Alan is an amazing person to work for/talk to. He gave me a very specific theme and pairings to work with, and then allowed me ~~to get as detail-crazy as I wanted~~ allowed me total creative freedom. ♥♥♥♥

I loved working on these; it was such a nice experience, AND I feel lucky I got the chance to work with characters I love… and pairings I was unfamiliar with. ♥ X3 Again, I want to stress how utterly lovely the whole experience was. :D
